First learning how to code during his sophomore year of high school through an after school program names "Code Nation" (FKA ScriptEd). From there he took what he learned and started working on his own projects and websites.

The Vaan Group
Intern 2017

This was my first internship and it taught and exposed me to a lot. I learned about Content Management Systems, honed my front-end developement skills and got experience working in a professional type setting. My internship at The Vaan Group really helped me to envision myself in that type of career in my future and gave me confidence in my coding skills.
Policygenius
Intern 2018

My second internship where I was placed on the engineering team. Compared to the The Vaan Group, Policygenius was a much bigger company with multiple different teams and departments. So I got to experience a different atmosphere from the previous years. With the coding skills I gained I also gained networking skills and connected with people from other teams. During my time with Policygenius I was really able to apply my coding knowledge with the various amounts of projects I was given. I used mostly ReactJs for my projects and was able to gain a better understanding of it. I got to contribute to a website where hundreds of thousands of people visit.

Codeday Labs
Intern 2020

My third internship which was virtual, in part, due to the COVID-19 pandemic. During this internship I built, along with my two other teammates, a Content Management System from scratch. We used React JS, Node JS and Firebase to build the application which we called "Quick CMS". This was first introduction to Node JS. This was the first internship that I went into that I felt confident in what I already knew and I was sure I was going was to be able to do what was required of me.
